NK cells are the natural killers of our body. Their most important job is to dissolve virus-infected cells or tumorous cells. NK cells usually count for between 7 and 15% of the entire lymphocytes of the peripheral blood. Their activity is demonstrably reduced in cases of chronic illness and cancer. This means that one of our body’s most important defence mechanisms is down.

This test is very useful for cancer.

A low value for NK cell basic activity can also lead to a high susceptibility to infection.
